Drew University Tri-Beta

Beta Beta Beta (Tri-Beta) is an honor and professional society for students of the biological sciences. The goal of all Tri-Beta events and activities, according to the constitution, “shall be designed to stimulate interest, scholarly attainment, and investigation in the biological sciences, and to promote the dissemination of information and new interpretations among students of the life sciences.”

Our mission is accomplished through various activities aimed to introduce students to the professional world of science and to encourage faculty and student interactions, including:

  • Faculty Dessert Night: Where students and faculty discuss research interests, opportunities, and courses in a casual environment
  • Internship Dinner: Where upperclass biology, neuroscience, and biochemistry majors present their experiences with summer and academic internships, and discuss the internship process
  • Graduate School Panel: Drew alumni/ae and graduate school admissions officers discuss the graduate school admissions process, and what their experiences are like currently in graduate school
  • Various research talks and other activities
